Wichtig:
Bitte nicht verwechseln mit dem ebenfalls in fast jedem größeren Ort angebotene "Gas Metano".
Dabei handelt es sich um das für unsere Erdgas-fahrenden Freunde bestimmte komprimierte Erdgas(CNG) !!
Tip:
Nach meinen Informationen haben nur die wenigsten Tankstellen Adapter zum Betanken des deutschen Schraubanschlusses.
Deswegen: Bitte vor der Abreise einen passenden Adapter ( Italien-Adapter) besorgen!
Die meisten Tankstellen haben zw. 12.30 - 15.30 Uhr geschlossen. (Ausnahme: Tankstellen an den Autobahnen)

Important:
Because of the extra high tax on Autogas/LPG/GLP for private vehicles (....ptas/L) it was unavailable for LPG-drivers in Spain. By law it was only for vehicles for public transports, taxis, busses ... . Since the begin of 2003 the government has reduced the tax for LPG for private use (125 Euro/To). So it is now available at nearly all the Autogas/GLP-Stations who had sold it to taxis.

Actually there are 3 types of connectors
- "European connector", "screw connector" = Schraubanschluß ("Europanippel") (Germany, Belgium, in some other countries)
- "Dutch Bayonet" = Bajonettanschluß (Netherlands, UK ... some Refuelling Stations in Germany)
- "Italian connector" = Italienanschluß (Italy, France, Portugal and in many other countries)

These 3 connectors will be replaced by the "Euro-Nozzle".

"DAF LPG - eine bewährte Lösung für den Personennahverkehr
Der von DAF entwickelte und produzierte LPG-Motor (Flüssiggasmotor) stellt eine äußerst umweltfreundliche Lösung für den öffentlichen Personennahverkehr dar, die sich bereits vielfach bewährt
hat. Seit der Einführung der LPG-Technik im Jahre 1994 wurden europaweit schon mehr als 450 DAF LPG-Busse in Betrieb genommen. Diese Fahrzeuge weisen bei gleich hoher Effizienz und Zuverlässigkeit um 70 Prozent niedrigere Abgasemissionen und um über 60 Prozent
geringere Geräuschemissionen als die entsprechenden Dieselmodelle auf. Inzwischen wurden 165 weitere DAF LPG-Busse geordert."

Eine gute Möglichkeit, die Dieselfahrzeuge des ÖPNV aus dem Stadtverkehr zu ersetzen und damit die Schadstoffbelastung in den Großstätten zu senken.

Der Energy Saving Trust wurde 1993 durch die britischen Regierung als eine unabhängige, non-profit Gesellschaft gegründet.
Deren Hauptziel es ist, die Umsetzung der Zielvorgaben der Konferenz in Rio und Kyoto ( u.a. die Verringerung der CO2-Emissionen), zu unterstützen. Inzwischen wird dieses Programm ebenfalls durch einer Reihe von industriellen Sponsoren (u.a. Vauxhall, Ford, Peugeot, Toyota, Ford, Transco, BG Plc, British Gas, Volkswagen, Shell, Calor u. Powergen) unterstützt.

Schwerpunkte dieses Programms:
Die Schaffung eines Marktes für Fahrzeuge mit alternativen Antriebskonzepten, die praxixnah sind und heute zur Verfügung stehen. Dies schließt die Fahrzeuge ein, die mit Treibstoffen wie LPG (Flüssiggas), Erdgas und Strom (auch in Hybrid-Ausführung) angetrieben werden.
Die Beseitigung der Hindernisse bei dieser Entwicklung:
- die fehlende Tankstellen-Infrastruktur
- die Mehrkosten für diese Fahrzeuge gegenüber denen mit Benzin- oder Diesel-Antrieb
- die Fehlkonzepte/Schwachstellen bei der Fahrzeugsicherheit
- der geringe Bekanntheitsgrad der Vorteile von CFV (clean fuel vehicles)
- die begrenzte Anzahl und Auswahl der erhältlichen Fahrzeuge
